Night Descends on the Mountainby ~mouse2cat

Traditional Art / Printing / Lino

Long time no update. The reason for that is that I have spent the last 6 months working on this monster linocut. This print is for the Emerging Artist Residency that I have been doing through the Atlanta Printmakers Studio. I actually had to snap pictures of it and it's mates today before I pop them into their frames and hang the show on Thursday. The entire thing was drawn onto the linoleum and carved with a little speedball cutter. I just inched across the block at the speed of a snail. This tree is from the Smoky Mountains.

My friends are like "didn't you learn ANYTHING" [link] Apparently not, but god dammitall I can carve anything after this.
